Just came across Raccoon’s update mechanism failing with a cryptic error message. Not quite sure what caused this. However, there was talk the other day about Google invalidating a tremendous amount of auth cookies (effectively logging everyone out).The standard solution, on Android, for this kind of problem is to reset the Play App by clearing it’s cache. For Raccoon, this translates into re-creating your profile(s).
Needless to say, in my case, I did it in the most idiotic way possible: simply deleting the entire installation and setting up everything from scratch without doing a backup first. So yes, problem solved, at the cost of being able to debug it and coming up with a less destructive solution.
